Extra Credit Details
Reminder about an extra credit opportunity. Check out an exhibit outside of class sometime next week and create an original piece that talks about something you learned from the exhibit or an artist that really inspires your work for extra credit. You could design something around photos you take or write something about the exhibit.
You have creative freedom on what you want to hand in for extra credit. The more care you take in your project, the more extra credit you get out! Email me with questions.
Also, if possible, take advantage of the free museum trip on September 24.
All extra credit projects due Monday, September 26.

Personal Logos - In progress critique
Overall, great job to everyone in our first semi-formal critique. I think you all did a great job deciphering how to "sell" your work and talk about your design process.
Have a great weekend!

In-Progress Critique
50 Logo Thumbnails - Initial Concepts (Bring to class with you)
PIN UP - Final 2 or 3 Concepts (Big Ideas) with multiple variations for each concept (you should have a total of 25 sketches). Include Color Palettes
* Refined Sketches should be larger so that we can analyse form accurately.
TIP: Remember your logo design must regard form as well as communicate meaning. Before you present your final 2 or 3 concepts to the class, think about what each concept is trying to communicate and how your form visualizes this. (i.e., bold weights, script fonts, tense edges, hand-made qualities, etc.)
